This Friday, I start my big trip to the White Continent--Antarctica. I will be going with National Geographic on the ship "Explorer," leaving from the tip of South America, the Tierra Del Fuego. We will be traveling to the area known as the Palmer or Antarctic Peninsula, which is directly below SA and to the left on the attached map. It will be the start of summer there, with lots of sunlight and an average temperature in the high 20s. We will be moving around for about a week, stopping in any number of bays and inlets, and capturing images of whales, penguins, seals, birds, and spectacular scenery. I am bringing several cameras, and lens, and hope to get some great shots to share when I get back. Meanwhile, I hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving!
